Sumac
Sumac
A relatively short tree, the sumac usually grows less than 30 feet tall. It's flowers and berries grow in dense "panicles" (PAN-ICK-KULS) or "tufts," and have been used as spices and in dyes.Â
A sumac can reproduce with seeds or by sending up its roots from underground to form clones of itself.
Didn't get this one right? Don't worry! Just like other living things, there's a lot of diversity in the plant kingdom, and even two trees of the same species can look very different from each other. Identification takes practice!
